With the last base upgrade, crystal vaults now hold 66K, but the bot matches in PvP are still only paying out the same as they did at the level 7 bases and smaller vault size. The payouts are only between 1000 and 1800 crystals. The odd time it will be as high as 2200.
Can you please request that the developers tweak the algorithm to allow the bots to payout an appropriate level in PvP matches? With a vault limit of 66K, I would expect that the bots would carry a prize of between 3000-5000 crystals. After all, their defences get maxed as soon as the new level is out, so why aren't the payouts maxed as well.

There's another glitch/fix. Base drone upgrades seem much more expensive now to budge to a higher level. I guess they either decided that it was too cheap to get the drone to 10K, or the XP/data crystal rate has gone up significantly. Many in my clan made the jump early, and now I can't catch up after a vacation, and upgrading base.
This is a perfectly logical request and I, too, think that the vault sizes should be larger. But, I think that 3000-5000 crystal, while I would love to see a majority of vaults this size, are not realistic. With our current vault size of 66K, a 3K vault would be a prize of 5%. A 5K vault would be a prize of almost 8%.
To put this in perspective, currently in CKS, our max vault size is 13.4M Diamonds. a 5% prize would be a vault of 670K. Right now it has been reported that the new record vault sizes are in the 240 - 250K range. So vaults should definitely all be running 1500 as a minimum.
However, if I might ask, what is your current base level and your current highest weapon levels? The reason that I ask is, I am currently seeing vaults between 2,000 and 3,000 Crystals on a regular basis, albeit, I may have to skip a number of times. But in the last 30 battles, I have had only 5 vaults less than 2,000 crystals.
My stats are as follows:
Base: Tier 8 100% upgraded
Heavy: 8.5 SHOGUN (80% upgraded) 39.49K Power
Gauss: 8.5 TOPAZ (80% upgraded) 34.75K Power
In CKS, we had found out that vault sizes are a result of a combination of Base Economy level and Weapon level.
My complaint about vault sizes remains that there are way too many small vaults being offered.
All too often, what I see is as follows:
1. 65 crystals .... 834 Vault
2. 125 crystals ... 208 Vault
3. 190 crystals ... 434 Vault
4. 255 crystals ... 273 Vault
5. 320 crystals ... 156 Vault
6. 385 crystals ... 255 Vault
By this time you have spent 1340 crystals looking for a decent vault size. In fact, almost every time I skip the first match, the next vault is lower than the first. There should be something that can be done so that this does not happen.
This is one of my main gripes about MIRN. At our current levels Drones upgrade costs are completely ridiculous.
My Drone is currently at Level 77.
It takes 410xp to upgrade to Level 78.
410xp @ 872.14 Crystals per xp or 357,577 Crystals (5.4 vaults of 66K Crystals).
To upgrade a Drone weapon, it is just as bad.
My Shield Generator is Level 2 and it takes 10,290xp to upgrade to Level 3.
The weapon parts are:
8xp - 352 Crystals
21xp - 369 Crystals
65xp - 423 Crystals
165xp- 548 Crystals
So it takes
10,290/8 = 1286 modules x 352 crystals = 452,760 / 66,000 = 6.86 vaults
10,290/21 = 490 modules x 369 crystals = 180,810 / 66,000 = 2.74 vaults
10,290/65 = 158 modules x 423 crystals = 66,964 / 66,000 = 1.01 vaults
10,290/165 = 62 modules x 548 crystals = 34,175 / 66,000 = 0.51 vaults
If you have enough 165xp modules, this is not real bad. But most of us don't have that many 165xp modules.
At level 5 weapons, it gets even worse. It takes 48,390xp to level:
8xp - 865 Crystals
21xp - 882 Crystals
65xp - 936 Crystals
165xp- 1,061 Crystals
So it takes
48,390/8 = 6,048 modules x 865 crystals = 5,232,168 / 66,000 = 79.27 vaults (you have to be joking)
48,390/21 = 2,304 modules x 882 crystals = 2,032,380 / 66,000 = 30.79 vaults
48,390/65 = 744 modules x 936 crystals = 696,816 / 66,000 = 10.55 vaults
48,390/165 = 293 modules x 1,061 crystals = 311,162 / 66,000 = 4.71 vaults
Then to make matter worse,
A Level 5 Healing Ray heals for 5,092 health every 28 seconds
A level 6 Healing Ray heals for 5,297 health every 27.5 seconds
Looking at 8xp modules, 79.7 vaults to increase only 205 healing, unbelievable.
Similar:
Base - level 8 fully upgraded
Weapons - Level 8.5 and 9.5 not upgraded
Drone - just lifted to level 81 (15xp upgrade cost jumps from 13.08K to 20K crystals... ridiculous)
as for vault wins, I almost exclusively get matched with a Bot and rarely get a vault prize greater than 1800. Usually in the 1200-1500 range.
Since the 'cost of playing' rises at such a fast rate, the reward for playing MUST keep pace or else it becomes hopeless.
I agree with your point about the cost of playing verses the cost of rewards. However, what I don't understand is the 1200-1500 range that you keep getting stuck with. I am routinely seeing vaults in the 2,000-4000 range. Here are my last 18 battles.
Usually, I will only have to skip 3 matchups at most. The times that I have to skip more than 3 matchups, then I usually end up with a vault in the 1200-1500 range. Also, every one of these battles are against bots. 99% of the time when I draw a RL player, then the vault is a ridiculous 50 to 500-700 crystals.
The only thing that I can think of is:
1. Are your 8.5 Weapons upgraded? Mine are all at 80%.
2. I am playing on IOS, if memory serves me, you are on Android.
Maybe the different platform is the difference. If it is then you have a big time, real legitimate beef going here.

Final result is I spent 2605 Crystals to finally win 1218 Crystals.
My main point is that the Bots should pay out more than 'real' accounts. They're programmed to have a higher defence level than your attack level, so, they should also be programmed to pay out better than real accounts.
In CKS, I discovered that vault sizes are a factor of both your base economy and your weapon power.
I agree that bots should payout more than a real account, and they do. Every battle shown above are bot opponents. It the real accounts that I am skipping, because they have spent all over their crystals before they logged out. I always try to find a bot to fight, no chance for a being revenged.
concerned - you're putting out some excellent observations and statistics, especially about drone costs. Keep 'em coming, should be a sticky! I too, have started upgrading weapons.
