Special Events Lock You Out of Challenges!

I like the game..... I have played 590 Contracts on Level 30 at time of writing...
I like the Special Challenges....
I'm even happy with the new Watch a Video for Credits....
Please devise a way of running Special Events that doesn't involve locking players out of Killing Spree for 48 hrs!!!
I go cold turkey without a good melee.... (^_^)
A splash screen on game entry is OK....
How about a link on either the Killing Spree Menu, or the Store Menu?
How about some more Scenarios / Maps to revitalise the game?
