Backup to iCloud???

I've just had Contract Killer 2 ask if I wanted to Backup to iCloud.....
I said yes....
Has there been a program change and Is this really backing up progress?
If so... well Done!
If not, please dispel the myth ASAP lest people have a false sense of security.
Assuming it is backing up to iCloud, how does one trigger a restore?

been playing for a while now...
1 day, decided to save data to i-cloud...
but continued my game not on i-cloud...
reached level 30++, with lots of guns...
then 1 day, unit asked me if i wanted to LOAD from i-cloud...i did and ended up on level 7 with hardly any guns...
NOW, i cant go back to my non-icloud data.....and ALL my guns and meds and reactrix ARE there...
ive signed out of googled, but no avail...can you please please help...
If you saved to iCloud & Restored then it does work.... Although that's little consolation to you.
Glu's normal response to back-up questions, loss of progress etc. is to recommend a full device backup via iTunes.
It does leave the part of my question about how to trigger a restore unanswered....
BTW... If you did back-up to PC since the iCloud backup you could restore that.
Of course, if the game had a built in backup facility......:rolleyes:
but what about on android devices?
I have seen posts saying that if you link the game with your Facebook account on an Android device, you can save game progress that way.... Not tried it, but seem to remember a reference to it in GLU help.
I've triggered this by accident several times without realising what I've done or how I've done it.....

I could have been saving to iCloud for ages and avoided a lot of misery.
I shall, of course, do an iTunes backup to PC before doing a restore from iCloud just in case it doesn't work.
That meant you were at level 7 when you last backed up the game in icloud and so when u loade the game from icloud, of course it will get you back to level 7. So the thing is, constantly back your the game (or other games or apps u have) in the icloud.
Having done an iTunes backup to PC, I did an iCloud backup.
All seemed well, so I checked my inventory and took a screenshot, threw a grenade or two, took note of my inventory, then did an iCloud restore and checked my inventory again.
All was well, so I now use iCloud all the time... BUT... I still do an iTunes backup every couple of days.
