I agree with @Tdub71, but would caveat that you should not spend any resources on pitcher skills. Many top players believe that pitcher skills are irrelevant and have no impact on performance, they merely prop up your team strength.

The maximum level of your players is determined by your tier - so if you're in the gold tier, your players will be unable to be improved beyond G10. There is a lot of consider when jumping from gold to platinum, so I'd recommend reading through some of the threads on this topic.

@navyjack77 - just a thought, but you may want to change your favorite team to be the one where you have the pennants invested, that way your ML is that much stronger. I hate the Yankees, but use them as my favorite team just so that ML and Babe both have pennants at 60.
