losing diamonds

I thought that when you saved the diamonds they were safe but with this new update you lose your diamonds faster than you can get them back and it has ruined the game for me now how are you meant to do anything like upgrade your based or weapons when you are just trying stop everyone else from getting your diamonds it has made the game dam near impossible to play not good for a really good game
