PVP Non-responsive buttons issue when diamond reward is above 5000?

This is similar to the "no buttons" issue, but what I'm talking about is the situation on 'Short Range' PVP matches where the arrow buttons disappear and all of the other buttons don't do anything when you press them.
This issue has been around for months, but doesn't always show up. However, I've had this happen 6 times in the last 3 days and 5 out of those 6 times, it's when I was going to be rewarded 5000 diamonds or more.
GLU: Is the "no arrows, buttons don't do anything" issue happen more often when the diamond reward is 5000 or more?
