Good Morning and Welcome to Round #1 of the TIER 25 Battle Cycle and there is a boat load of new weapons available, fresh from the gunsmith.
Today's inaugural event features a pair of "state of the art" HEAVY Weapons w/Optics.
TOP 10: 25.5 MORNINGSTAR MKII HEAVY - 3.77B-5.79B.
TOP 30: 25.5 PERNACH MKII HEAVY - 3.15B-5.15B.
The cycle "icebreaker" VIP Event features the Crème De La Creme:
@3500: 25.5 PERUN MKII TESLA - 3.77B-5.79B (The deadliest lightning gun to date).
@5750: 26.5 INCUBUS MKII ASSAULT - 5.7B-8.39B. (Nothing but blood splatter will remain).
@7000: 26.5 HAMMERHEAD MKII HEAVY w/Optics - 6.29B-10.3B (Now that's one helluva gun).

For The SCORPION 1,000 AP (give-or-take) per base upgrade is an accurate (baseline) estimate.
For the 3rd time in as many events, the TOP 3 are far and away having a competition of their own and for the 3rd straight time The TERMINAT3R is 2nd best. These are the future leaders, but can they stand up to the test of time?

How useless you ask? Let's see ...
KNIVES: the whole purpose of using knives is to approach by "stealth". Throwing one of these does nothing more than alert the troops.
ROCKETS: give me a break. If you stand there firing rockets, your health is sure to drain.
GRENADES: the singular useful purpose for grenades is to kill DRONES, nothing much else.
MEDKITS: given the massive health boosts we receive with each new tier, who needs 'em.
BODY ARMOR: nobody owns any and that speaks for itself.
No doubt Sir BRAD ... I'm preparing for an all out assault on The TOWER and I'm planning to burn MedKits until either fatigue sets in OR my eyes start to cross and targets become blurry LMAO

This weapon is also a clone of the 25.5 PERUN MKII TESLA that was featured this past VIP Event only hours, no minutes earlier ... unbelievable.
So after a few occurrences ... it's safe to assume that the "Sweet Spot" VIP Event Prize @ 3,500 GOLD (usually a TESLA) is sure to be featured as a League Event Prize soon after. The previous (short) record was 2 weeks, this time it was immediately following.
All of this signals to me that GLU is "strapped" and is literally throwing carrots at CKS players.
The strangest part (something GLU will NEVER admit) is that this League Event RANK #1 / 17 Parts idea was ill conceived from the start; and after nearly a year, they just keep trying to "force" it to work ...
... GLU, take it (or leave it) from The SCORPION ... either kill league play altogether OR return it to the way it was ... the leaderboard will light up like a Christmas tree.

Well another base upgrade, a GOLD milestone and it's time to fire up The Weber.
Scorpion, first, I apologize for being absent to report the global (as usual.) The cutoff for top 30 was 6800, I rested easily, and scored only 4250, avg. I started to post screen grabs, but photobucket was protesting the uploads.
Yes, Jr is at no 1, needs the extra parts for the heavy since he also has the PERUN, Sr is at no 2 and just going for diamonds on easy street. I fully expect things to heat up tonight, but it is disheartening to see GLU pandering for a quick buck with this early Tesla Silver. As usual, the players mean nothing, it's the stock speculation that rules the day.
It's all good and there's no need to apologize ...
... the more information that's available the better off we all are
If you're at TIER 25, then you're going to need roughly 800 PvP Victories (20,000 AP) just to upgrade the base; and you'll need to uprade that TESLA and/or HEAVY as well to be successful at TIER 26 ...
... you need to step it up a bit (not much, but more) Buddy. :cool:
It's pretty obvious that GLU is trying to encourage more participation that will ultimately lead to more GOLD purchases ... problem is they're going about it all wrong, in my opinion. The fact that a weapon of that "caliber" is sitting atop the prize pyramid and nobody wants it kinda speaks for itself, I think.
Then again, I've been pounding on that "award structure reform" drum for so long ...
... who am I to question the GLU brain trust.

Of course, winning 5 BILLION DIAMONDS for base upgrades is one helluva motivating factor.
Now The SCORPION may acquiesce ... but then again, he may NOT. MuaHaHa
It starts with me using my ASSAULT as usual.
My first attack is against a SENTRY, which I kill, then I proceed to take out as many bad guys as possible BEFORE attacking the upcoming JUGG and this is where things go south.
Sometimes I will swap weapons and go to the HEAVY at this point, but I am also constantly moving as well.
If I TAP to change weapons and TAP to move forward in rapid succession, I'll end up with the HEAVY ICON (upper right) but the ASSALUT is really being used.
Even the sound effect is that of the ASSAULT.
The worst case is when emptying the clip. Even though I've switched to the HEAVY, the ASSAULT clip will eventually empty and the weapon stops firing. I cannot reload either.
The only way to recover is to switch back to the ASSAULT and reload.
Everything goes back to normal at that point.
Now it would be great if the weapon had unlimited ammo, but that would be asking too much.
It's not a huge deal as long as I'm conscious of my movements ... basically, whether it's the game OR my device, I am selecting options and moving too fast ... or so it would appear.
Anyone else suffering from this anomaly?
