This morning (after 2 hours) there were 1,700+ players registered in this Global Event, up from only 1,100+ last week; while considerably less than past Global Events, we're moving in the right direction again after slipping for 3 consecutive weeks.
With defense base upgrades to "ALPHA-ECHO" nearly complete, along with the realization that I already own this TOP 10 prized weapon ...
... My Global Event Goals are basic: complete the base upgrades, bring my LR weapons up to TIER 31 battle readiness and ... RELAX ... maybe throw in a few drone level upgrades for good measure.

I am in the top 10 because I need that 120B/185B Tesla (I call this the "Kill what you eat" strategy), my current Tesla is 107.74B. Mapfodder is pursuing the 35 Part Silver League strategy for the top 30 gun to replace the 29.5 Orca, 60.4 B.

For the first time Amazon Leagues are filled instead of typically having only 15 players per group. Occasionally, there were groups with as little as 1 to3 players, so after almost 2 years, GLU has fixed this situation.
There was no "fix" offered and I wish GLU was that altruistic. They simply placed an ever decreasing number of players into fewer brackets because there's absolutely nothing for them to gain (profit from) by committing servers and system resources to a platform that cannot completely populate what they originally established or planned for.
Yet another attempt to "squeeze" us for a buck.
I would monitor this trend quite closely; worst case is if gamesmanship drops any further, they could decide to shut it down completely.
Since there is a percentage of players who compete for RANK #1 only OR craft their weapons on DAY #1, the Amazon brackets could fall by as much as 50% on DAY #2 with even fewer players by DAY #3 ...
... should that occur, the trend would disturbingly reveal that the game (as well as GLU) is in trouble, so anything that anyone can do to increase gamesmanship would be in the best interest of all concerned.
I know this may sound like raining on your parade, but it does affect everyone.
