Restoring Save Data

I have a question about our save data. Is it linked to our icloud accounts or do we have to manually restore it via itunes? Which is it or is it both?

    The FAQ: "changing devices" thread recommends backing up to itunes first and then icloud if it's available. I haven't done it myself, but I've heard success stories on the forum for other Glu games played through iOS.
    iPhone 4, usually.

    That's the thing about icloud. I'm looking at my icloud storage and I don't see a save data for this game so I'm assuming that I have to back it up on my itunes and then restore it.
