9700 is the most I've won as well, but looking at my own social log, the diamonds won is approximately 10% of the total diamonds. 9700 is probably the maximum.
Yeah I have a maxed out base and finished in the top 3 last tournament and with 128,000 on the screen and 13300 in my vault they only got 9700.
I lost 10,435 to JimFish two days ago. That has only happened once and is the most I ever lost. I had a bit over 180k diamonds sitting there and was going to upgrade my base when I lost connection for about 30 min (not the game's fault I was in a bad wifi area).
This thread has karma written all over it. It's the question you're curious about, but never really want to find out. I'm hoping that 13,700 diamonds is the new maximum, because when 128,000 was the safe maximum capacity the reward was capped at 9,700 (7.6%). If the percentage remains the same, we're probably looking at 20K. Yikes.
