Seems to be the only way this drone is anything more than eye candy. They're less than useless. I've spent over $1M game cash and who knows how much diamonds and the guns and rockets don't make a dent. The support functions are pretty weak too. I'd hoped this update would increase my interest but it's had the reverse effect. It's simply too much work to be competitive anymore. I'm not shelling out loads of cash on a game I play in my spare time on my phone.
Drones are first unlocked after "North America" is completed. So yes if you are rather far in the game they really wont have any effect till you beef them up some.
