Here are some quick statistics for the holiday weekend Global PvP.
RANK #1: 22,088 AP (XAKER)
RANK #30: 10,343 AP (ANDREW)
RANK #57: 5,869 AP (SCORPION)
This is pretty much common, and it's always about this time that, with roughly 18 hours remaining, what I refer to as the "Great Wall" starts to form with all of the hardcore veterans jockeying for the top 30.
To break through the #50 barrier, would require at least 200-300 bars of GOLD easily and why I'm usually satisfied with a Top 90 Ranking and 35 Weapons Parts. I've tried twice and finished #42 and #43.
To break into the top 30 would easily require twice the amount of GOLD I usually spend on an entire tournament. My cap is 1,000 BARS, so I would estimate that a TOP 30 Ranking would cost 2,000 BARS of GOLD, or more, something that I am not prepared to do quite yet.
Finally one must survive the inevitable late game surge, that is coming once you break into the TOP 30. Having never been there I can only guess, but I would estimate another 200 BARS would be required to hold on to your position.
To win outright would require an obscene amount of GOLD. The current leader's AP total will be 30,000 by mid afternoon and depending on the competition could double that by the conclusion of the Global Event; somewhere north of 40,000 AP.
An ALL OUT assault is coming, one day, when my weapons and my circumstances are right.
It's fairly obvious that GOLD League qualifiers are truly in a league of their own.

Amazon still the most leisurely of the three platforms.
Yep ... when I think that #30 is usually double my score in AP and even that rank will NOT guarantee a placement in the GOLD League (visa versa), it makes me feel humbled, but I am determined to get to the GOLD one day soon because that's where the REAL competition and prizes are.
I picked up the Charon Heavy in last weeks Amazon Gold league. Only three players in the league, all three got the gun: Power 198000, 10.5 stars. Making life so much easier.
My biggest problem with Amazon is that very reason, there are only 3 players in the entire bracket. You would think Glu would be true to form and fill up the bracket with "spooks".

As you can see, breaking through that #50 "Great Wall" is really tough. This is usually when I start cruising because I have spent 800 of 1,000 BARS of GOLD, battery in down to 14% and I need a drink. LOL ..... Time to PREPARE for the late game SURGE.

The surge has started with players battling and jockeying for their final ranking. It looks like the Top 5 or 6 are pretty much safe but everything else is up for grabs.
Global PvP Ended with the above Top 5 finishing in that order. My RANK #57 (7,155 AP).

Yeah it's always Android that gets hit with the BS ... oh well, another short event is sure to come, probably along the line of 1.5 days to compete ... half the normal 3 days ... those that are not already sitting on 20-30 parts will be screwed again I'm afraid.
