Here's a REALLY DUMB question:
I understand Personal Contribution Levels and I know there are up to 59 Levels. I somewhat grasp the idea of contributing DRONE PARTS or making contributions in general.
So my question is, aside from increasing one's PC Level, how are these contributions utilized by the CLAN? A CLAN LEVEL defense via a stronger drone, I assume that is the case ...
... but what about the IN GAME CASH? How is this actually spent AND on what?
Anyone ???
The problem is I still see no way to create a LINK ... Ugh !!!
That "Link" is your first Hex, the one you now occupy. You get a second Link at Level 14. That simply makes you eligible to be linked to an adjacent Hex. An officer must link you using one of the available Clan Links. You can get another Link at PC Level 29. Keep working.

Scoring is more than 2 x what it was last week AND with a whole new cast of characters (RA418 aside).
I fight when the masses cruise ... 1 cruise when the masses fight; go figure?

My setup:
Base: X-ray, Tier 24, 1.44B, one PH upgrade remaining
Drone: Level 220, 3.85M
Drone Weapons: Who cares, since the current generation of drone weapons SUCKS.
Drone Weapons parts Inventory: Zero, giving them all away to Clan Base upgrades since upgrading these pitiful Drone Weaps is a TOTAL waste of time and Diamonds.
Weapons:
Sniper: Bullseye MKII, 25.5, 3.44B, fully upgraded
Assault: Cobra MKII, 24.5, 1.93B, fully upgraded
Tesla: Typhoon MKII, 24.5, 2.59B, 80% upgraded
Heavy: Charon MKII, 25.5, 5.15B, fully upgraded.
I will finish the Base today. The Charon is the best Gatling Heavy ever, but I still want a Heavy with optics.
FIRST a re-synchronization error, followed by a RESTART, resulting in a broken win streak.
SECOND "A PLAYER IS ALREADY LOGGED ON WITH THAT NAME" ... RESTART
THIRD CLAN WARS kicks off.
FOURTH a "DLC ERROR DURING BUNDLES LOADING" ... RESTART
CKS Recovers and is functioning normally but my win streak is no more and I missed yet another CW battle. I think the servers were completely stressed out for a few LOL
I totally agree ... we're LONG OVERDUE for some new drone weapons.
We're using the same weapons as we used a month ago when 48.1M was king. I would never give away all of my parts though ... eventually I'll need them for upgrades to the stronger weapons ...
... then again consider the source; I've used every part I ever won
The current weapons are useless and don't even rise above 188.7M (less than 50% of total power); the flying boat anchor has returned
But what else was I going to spend my diamonds on? Sounds awfully familiar, doesn't it?
I'm telling you, GLU and anyone else who might listen, the BEST feature that could be added would be the player declaration ... "TODAY I FIGHT FOR MY CLAN (UFN)" ... that would result in everything, and I mean EVERYTHING, that a player acquires or accomplishes going straight to the CLAN.

Notice the Senior PLayers not in like Orlik and Marat .
Yeah ... both are in my CLAN. When there's a weapon they want, like the ASSALUT last week, they play PvP; most other times they're busy scaling the TYRRELL TOWER.
The leaders change in their absence; all (relatively) new players like yourself. I've been reading some of your posts and your observations are generally spot on ... Welcome.
Personally, during events such as this, I take the opportunity for what I call, "Extended Target Practice". :cool:

Pretty quiet. I have now completed all Base and Weapons upgrades, so it is freebies for me.
I'm considering grabbing one as soon as the opportunity presents itself (again)

Houston we have a problem ...
I awakened this morning and realized all of my weapons were @ 100% upgraded; with the support drone @ 100% (385M power) and no new drone weapons parts on the horizon, I find myself inflicted with the BRADLEY SYNDROME :cool:
Nothing left to upgrade and wondering what to do with the incredible number of diamonds I will be raiding over the next few weeks ... with a small twist, followed by a complex one.
I have close to 11,000 drone weapons parts, but as you pointed out earlier, using these for upgrades WITHOUT a stronger "root" part is a complete waste of time and effort.
Then I said to myself, "OK SCORPION, you might as well throw some diamonds at the DEFENSE BASE" and that's when things took a turn for the complex ... prior to reaching TIER 24, I had only upgraded the TIER 23 BASE ECONOMY to it's max of 76.4M BUT that more than doubled to 153.37M when we reached TIER 24.
The bottom line: at TIER 23 I have the BASE ECONOMY of a TIER 25 DEFENSE BASE using pre-CKS 5.0 standards. This translates simply into being able to fully upgrade 25.5 weapons using only diamonds ... but using the total number of diamonds available from a base two levels BELOW the "rated" tier ... and it gets better.
Using the "current" set of standards, I would also be able to reach 80% on 26.5 weapons, again using the BASE ECONOMY of the TIER 23 BASE. This would most likely decrease to 60% by TIER 27 and 40% by TIER 28 and this all assumes that the vault capacity will remain static over the same period.
So I cannot, in good conscience, apply the "What else are we going to spend our diamonds on?" principal to the defense base.
In an ironic twist of software engineering, GLU has made obsolete the primary reason for competing PvP ... to acquire diamonds for upgrades (at least as far as the BASE in concerned) and they cannot start asking for BILLIONS in diamonds for weapons upgrades since that would surely R.I.P. their "cash cow".
Even more ironic ... I cannot even give these diamonds away to my CLAN.
I run the calculations and all I'm left with is "Shaking My Head". TYRRELL, I'm on my way ... maybe.

I am thinking freeplay keeps me on the Leaderboard.
While the current generation of weapons is useless, upgrading them makes sense, since you will be able to fuse the upgraded weapons to the next generation of weapons when they are finally released.
Also, don't ignore those contributions of Drone weapons to your clan, that increases you Weapons strength, Drone strength and PH, even the effect of medikits. I am giving all my parts to the clan every day.
Now, consider my situation: XRAY complete, Drone at 385M, 24.5 and 25.5 Weapons 100% upgraded, no game cash and no Drone weapons parts. I must have lots of XP modules somewhere, but the aren't displayed since my Drone Is complete.
I continue to play for Drone parts, trying to contribute 72 XP every day. Elites have almost completed Level 36 and I am at PC Level 16, looking to get to 17 today.
Yeah you're probably correct ... why fight more battles especially if you must use GOLD?
I have a question for you since you've been down this path quite a few times in the past ... what do you do with your diamonds in the absence of pending upgrades? I hate the idea of grabbing a weapon I don't need just to have something to spend diamonds on *yuck*
Hopefully something interesting will happen tomorrow; a useful VIP Event?
When you say 1/3, I assume you're referring to being attacked? What's really strange about CLAN WARS is that you can lose 2/3 of all DEFENSIVE ATTACKS and win every OFFENSIVE ATTACK
But in light of my present situation, I need to do something with these diamonds since leaving the vault "full" would be insane.
Now, hopefully tomorrow's VIP will offer something of interest and PLEASE a 47.19M MG as well.
YEP ... I'm going to go ahead and resume base upgrades.
