Good Morning and Welcome to ROUND #2 of the TIER 28 Battle Cycle.
This Global Event is featuring a pair of HEAVY Weapons; each packs a powerful punch.
TOP 10: 28.5 DHARMA MKII HEAVY - 30.2B-46.24B.
TOP 30: 28.5 MANTRA MKII HEAVY - 21.17B-41.2B.
There is also the usual collection of "preview" weapons available in today's VIP Event for the "firepower junkies" amongst us. I must say, I do like that TESLA. :cool:

Does this mean that with your 100% 28.5 Assault at 27.51B, your Tier 28 matchups max out at 24.16?
Just curious if I can leave my top level upgrades go on the assault for a bit.
I know many are reeling from this latest release of CKS, v5.0.2, with the most notable difference being the opponent strength; not only has their resilience been increased ...
... their "attack" power is beyond what one would expect from a TIER 28 opponent.
My experience places our new foes @ the TIER 29 Level.
Consequently, this game has moved from OFFENSE to DEFENSE in one fell swoop. I cannot in good conscience recommend any of the weapons being offered in Global OR VIP events; the Global HEAVIES will be obsolete before you apply the first upgrade.
The VIP Event weapons aren't much better with the exception of that TESLA @ 7,000 GOLD.
So, here we are ... fight like hell OR go broke trying. Truly a sad state of affairs for most, so PLEASE ...
... join my campaign against tyranny; in the very least you'll be able to keep your shirt. :cool:
YES ... the magic number represents the maximum "bot" opponent payout threshold, even though you may encounter defense power ratings that are higher.
All you need do is reach the magic number to raid the largest vaults ...
... Anything above the "magic number" only serves a purpose in battle, but NOT in payouts.
Personally, I've dusted off the 2015 Playbook and I'm fine tuning the "old ways" for fighting new foes. Ooh Rah :cool:

For THE VETERANS: Remember when a 200 Victories Win Streak was an achievement worthy of praise? It wasn't that long ago and we found a way to overcome adversity ... don't quit on me now.

I am bypassing any battles with a vault less than: 23.0M Diamonds (SR), 21.0M Diamonds (LR).
I also find myself on the leaderboard @ RANK #30 (3,309 AP); competition has slipped somewhat ...
... We'll see if scoring picks up on DAY #2; regardless, I'm switching on the "cruise control".

Regarding this Global Event: the leaderboard is where it was on WEEK #1, what's different is the drop in competition above RANK #30 ...
... I also "feel" (have tracked) an enormous wall of players bunched together above RANK #100.

There was a time when The SCORPION would attack at the first sign of "blood in the water" ... what a waste. The GLUTONS keep right on tinkering and tinkering; surely they must see what I see ...
