As TRY_AGAIN would say, I've been relegated to the "Romper Room" version of the VIP Event, probably due to a lack of participation (I'm mighty proud of that

If you're so inclined, I would grab it NOW since you won't need another for at least 2 TIERs and it would guarantee maximum payouts for the duration.
I know it's plenty of GOLD to spend on a SNIPER, but given your priorities, it's an excellent deal that I wouldn't pass up. :cool:
YEP ... we came to that conclusion a few hours ago; now here's the rub ...
With only a modest health boost to Level 273, SHORT RANGE Battles are survivable WITHOUT the use of any equipment using 28.5 SR Weapons. Of course, I haven't unlocked my TIER 29 Stats either.
My determination is that 6 additional PH Level jumps would have eliminated the need to use equipment at all @ TIER 28; this should also hold true moving forward as long as you don't upgrade your Primary Weapons, for that would attract stronger opponents and you would be right back where you started.
The ultimate question is therefore: Survivability (without the use of Grenades or MedKits) versus Larger Raided Vaults? This is solely a player's choice based on how many battles you usually fight during a Global Event.
In short, if you're scoring 20,000 AP or more on a regular basis, clearly there is no need for the larger vaults, so I would first grab the best TESLA I could find (along with a HEAVY, if you're so inclined) and STAY AWAY from high powered SNIPERS and ASSAULTS until I can determine a better approach.
If you avoid the GOLD LEAGUE like the plague, then you need to calculate how long it will take to upgrade the base based on how many battles you can fight ... AND ... stick to the plan !!!
Personally, I would opt for the larger vaults but would proceed slowly and with great caution.
Never to be one to offer advice without trying it out myself, I suppose I will need to increase my stats ... d.a.m.n. ... you guys might need to take my word for it though, because I'm not thrilled about TIER 29.
I am 90% sure of my findings, if that means anything to anyone. :cool:

Surprisingly @ TIER 29, I am really shocked that my 26.5 TESLA is still mowing down the enemy without any additional battle equipment. The JUGG requires a full 10-charge blast to the head at times, but the weapon is holding it's own; good enough until I acquire this 29.5 replacement ... I am quite pleased.

The competition level is quite high; I haven't experienced this type of competitive spirit in quite some time and it is quite enjoyable. The problem is (I hate myself for it) I know what lies on the horizon ...

... sometimes it's all about just being lucky. :cool:
That has been the biggest mystery surrounding this ever since GLU introduced the 17 Parts RANK #1 Award ... yeah it wasn't always that way.
From what I can discern regarding "ties and tie breaking"; there are only 3 x items I am sure of.
SCENARIO #1: The "leader" has 102 VP and you have 100 VP.
(1) If the PvP Battle that results in a tie was a victory, you now become the "leader".
SCENARIO #2: The "leader" has 102 VP and you have 101 VP.
(2) If the PvP Battle that results in a tie was a loss, you get placed below the "leader".
SCENARIO #3: The "leader" has 102 VP and there (3) others have 100 VP.
(3) Counter intuitive ... if multiple players hit the same rank at the same time, presumably all by PvP victories, then the last player to reach that point jumps to the head of the pack.
That's all I know for sure since there are many, many combinations of what I've described above ...
... all of which are impossible to predict during gameplay (not knowing what the other guys are doing) ...
... so I simply "leave it to luck".
You can get pretty creative in the closing minutes of gameplay. I performed a LOSS-WIN-LOSS tactic hoping to land @ RANK #2-#3 ... this time it worked like a charm.
I REALLY got lucky because I didn't anticipate RANKS #2-#4-#5 coming on that quickly.

I don't know ... did it lose "killing power" OR 25% of applied upgrades? I've never heard of a content update affecting weapon strength before ... JEEZ
I'm using the same TESLA @ 60% Power and it's working great.
