Good Morning and Welcome to Round #3 of the TIER 41 Battle Cycle. :cool:
Today we have a moderately powered "peashooter" for you to compete for.

SPECIAL NOTE: if you're feeling cheated to some degree because you fought hard and expended many tokens attempting to acquire the 42.5 BLANFORD MKII, don't be ...
... there is no comparison between the BLANFORD and the ELK. The 42.5 ELK MKII is an adequate SNIPER RIFLE with the minimum amount of killing power (for TIER 42 opponents).
(The same would hold true for the 42.5 STAG MKII).
Now if you fell short in your quest, today's event might have been a more cost effective option ...
... it should also be noted that the 42.5 ELK MKII was available via VIP for 7,000 GOLD 2x weeks back; if you passed on that event in favor of the current Global Event, then you're smiling about now.:)
For The SCORPION it's all about Victory Points (nothing else really much matters at this point) ...

The newcomers ELIMPOSTOR and Z4HADAMED have faltered allowing GIULISTALLION to take command with H401 moving up into the place position. BSONI is on the move.

GIULISTALLION draws clear and is threatening to put this one away early.
ELIMPOSTOR and Z4HADAMED are holding their own; KUDOS
H401 is always a threat.
NABEEL707 has "closed a ton" to get within striking distance of the leaders.
BSONI seems sluggish and it doesn't appear his heart is in it; if I didn't know any better, I would say he's practically handing the title back to GIULISTALLION ...
(On the surface, not becoming of a true champion ...
... dig a little deeper and "futility" may sound more appropriate; but what do I know?).

I find it interesting that an event that started off so enthusiastically, suddenly dropped dead the moment GIULISTALLION started his run and BSONI gave chase ...
... coincidence? OR did "why bother" start to set in? ... If only they would STAY "DEAD (retired)".

Just for the record ... a player must lose his rank AND be trailing by at least 5,000 VP ...
... BEFORE it can be classified as a "recapture" of the crown. :cool:
(The reason being that anything less than 5,000 VP, would be considered "battling" for 1st Place).
So in this bizarre turn of events, BSONI recaptured the title but GIULISTALLION never really lost it.
(Ironic, when you think about it).

Where the heck are we going to come up with the number of nanos required to evolve these new weapons?
Maybe GLU is increasing the payouts of nanos in the Elite Mystery Box?
Yes ... starting with the next invasion, nano payouts should at least double ... hopefully more. :cool:
Remember all that is required today is an aggregate Tech Power of 5,000 (SR) or 3,000 (LR) ...
... there is no immediate need to upgrade tech power (at least not until nano payouts also increase).
MDUs get stronger ... tech gets stronger ... the MDU effective "lifetime" has been roughly 24 Hours once new elites are released AND maximum shields are achieved ...
... anything less than maximum shielded MDUs, are rendered completely useless forever thereafter.
I still fail to grasp the purpose, other than "GLU busy work on steroids".
Under the very best of circumstances, they only have "purpose" in Clan Wars and even then you can still expect to lose 3 of 4 of the opponents' attacks (roughly the same without MDUs) ...
... twice a day for a total 3-4 minutes per attack (maybe).
I suppose it's nice to polish them up; admire the "tin cans" following countless hours of closing contracts.
