I've read that it worked that way in the initial release, but Glu found that people weren't playing as often as they wanted, so they opened the vault up to raiding so that people would stay in the game longer to protect their diamonds. However, they didn't change the tips message.

Thus far, cash can only be used to upgrade sniper/assault rifles. High level ones take millions in cash to fully upgrade.

I was going to suggest that you simply drop the gun/rocket modules from your drone. However, while you can swap modules, it doesn't appear that you can simply remove one once a module of that type has been mounted on your drone. You may want to request that option be added.

They appear to have based the crafted drone points on the value of modules to create them. A Manta needed one power module (4 points) and one missile module (8 points), but a Bee needed two power modules and one gatling module (8 points), so it has a value of 16.

That pre-upgrade first level B10 upgrade cost has increased from 53 gold to 315; 4th level upgrades are now 585 gold, but the diamond upgrade prices are the same. On the "Support Drone" screen, the right side has 4 hexagonal '+' icons. Clicking one of them (or the "Fuse" button) will allow you to add up to 4 drones or drone parts carried over from CK:S version 2. It's 53 gold for each of the first level B10 upgrades, or at least it was before the current version update -- I haven't see what that does to play/prices yet. Regardless, that's quite low compared to the 300 gold they wanted for the base B9 to B10 upgrade, which cost less in diamonds than all the first level B10 upgrades…

Pretty much. It's almost impossible to play this game for any period of time without being involved with PvP, as a raider, a target, or both. Glu designed the framework to propagate competition and conflict, so unless you either embrace it or quit, you'll be very frustrated.

I don't know if the drone are always missing, but I have experienced the same behavior where the matchup says there'll be a drone , but it's not there when my opponent's base is level 10.
