Hello...I am not sure if it has changed since I started playing over a year ago, but your supers are available when you reach the required level up....your level is the little blue looking star between the trophy and the coins....so you can earn supers but you can't use them until you reach the required level it says....same goes for VIPs...you can earn them or buy them but they can't be used until your reach the required level of fame...that's the red star on the right next to the supplies...
Also recently they changed it to where you can literally only use supers in the specific episode they are in.....so you may have one that is ready, but if it isn't in the episode you can't use it...does that help?
