What if i complete treasure hunt but dont have the reward venue open?

I will most likely be able to complete treasure hunt this time but i dont have parisian palace open and it looks like a closet item for that venue is the reward. What will happen if i claim it and i dont have the venue open. Will it remain in the closet untill i have opened it or will it disappear and do i need to spend 25 gold on opening the venue before i claim it? Anyone know?
