Region 4 onslaught hunts

How do you manage the onslaught hunts that require you to kill 15 animals in 90 seconds? Says rec weapon is shotgun, but i never get to more than 10 kills with shotty, with rifle i can do 13 but i can never get 15 kills, even if i 1-shot kill my targets and never miss.. Also i do not have an assault rifle up to the task so thats not an option. Anyone know how to handle these hunts?

have to use gold to keep progress. then you have to kill 5 more in the second round
