Further incentive to play

This game is superior to any hunting game out there, but sadly there is little incentive to continue playing higher levels. Weapons get more expensive and harder to obtain. There is no real tangible reward for playing higher levels, because though you get hunter bucks, it still costs more of them to outfit equipment. I would think that at some point those of us loyal enough to play into the higher levels should start seeing some return for our loyalty. I understand that it takes money to produce and maintain a game like this, but I can't help but feel that an otherwise excellent game is being ruined by greed. If the only incentive to continue playing is a new animal to shoot at, that is going to cost me my hard earned money, I'm out! A loyalty program such as lifetime hunter or the ability to start winning gold at some point, instead of worthless hunter bucks would be awesome. I'm not trashing the game. It's fun and entertaining, but it is becoming cost prohibitive in higher levels and that isn't fun. Change things or risk losing me to a game I can afford. :(

Your concern is common one, which a lot of people ,myself included agree with, there are a ton of threads about this, from what I have seen, free gold(other than watching video or product offers) and loyalty programs proberly never will be apart of the game. I have learn only to upgrade the weapons to point of were gold is needed and not to use gold on on special deals for weapons right before a new region come out-I made the mistake of buying a lot of gold in the beginning, learn from that. Also if you are android, gold can be transferred ,unlike those of us on ISO operating platform,

****,them some serious numbers---thanks for the post

Yes that is some serious numbers and with that brought to light let us assume that one million people feel like Biggamepisal and leave the game. Oh well, 39 million are still there happily enjoying what they get for free. Plus in the amount of time it took for these one million to say enough with the game and leave it, millions more decided to check it out. My favorite part is the popularity in the Vatican, go pope, lol

The shots fired to kill ratio isn't very good though...

Roughly 3 to 1-looks bad , but not really ,when you take into account multi shots to kill one animal and the misses

This is due to accuracy not mattering, I know I have sat firing shots randomly until animals get to were I want to shoot them. Bring accuracy like dh reloaded has and it would be a lot better I am sure.

No doubt ,I have started using the white cross that comes up ,instead of the sights/scopes, just doing my part to skew the number

With all that said I do totally agree the game should pay out more than one gold for each level, especially on higher levels or offer a way to earn gold by playing somehow. Hopefully the later is what the bounties will be.

I'm not sure the development peps will like to hear this but I've been playing this game for about 6 months and havnt spent a single penny of real world money, I get by with the hunter bucks that can be earned have a full ****nal of weapons and with a bit of perseverance get through most regions with all the weapons upgraded to there maximum levels, gold is basically not needed to have fun with this game, okay I missed out on some of the Christmas events as the higher region crimbo guns required gold only purchases and the recent assault rifle series was the same but still I'm having a blast!! Pun most defiantly intended!! Can't wait for region 10, have a **** load of money saved up from club hunts and other revisits to past regional hunts and I can't wait to spend it on a shiny new bow and crossbow :)

I know this must make me sound like a ****, but here goes, this is a free game... it does state inn-app purchases, just like 90% of games out there. You can play for free, just not able to go semi-auto without gold! Therefore you have to "pay to play" Period! I do not think this is ever going to change! The people at Glu are not volunteers, making this game what it is. It is always your choice to spend your money however you want. If you are looking for totally free, try angry birds or floppy bird, maybe checkers. Sorry, I don't mean to tick anyone off, but it is what it is!

Trouble is once you try the faster fire rate and quicker reload weapons it becomes addictive! The free weapons very slow in comparison but they get the job done

I'm playing through the iOS version so it might be different for you, but I play for free and have plenty of semi-auto assault rifles that I purchased with hunter bucks. True that gold gets you the best available weapons, but it's also true that playing on an iPad is easier than playing on an iPhone. If you've played the game long enough you'll start missing the challenge of it.
    iPhone 4, usually.

Well, I guess the folks at glu listened to me. Now I can't watch more than two videos for every round of play. This game is really ceasing to be fun. Used to love it. :-(

I totally understand the need to pay for play. I know it doesn't just happen. But $50-60 for a new weapon?
  • BbashBbash Registered Users 11 Posts
I don't like how they have events that you can only play buy spending gold, which takes real money. I did see the new update today tho and they have made a huge step in the correct direction. I just wish it would come out in iOS ASAP

I have every weapon that doesn't require gold to buy and upgraded them to the point where gold is required to continue upgrading, played all the hunt, challenges, events thru region 9 ---I am playing on a iPad,so it's an ISO system -- just a question for biggamepisal-is the 50-60 in real cash =1325 to 1500 in gold--what weapon are you having to buy or are you just trying to max out the upgrades?

Make your money off of your advertisers, not your loyal players who support this game. My argument stands. ItIS a great game and kudos to the team, but make it fun and affordable. I'm not here to argue, just making a statement.

Think the new update speaks, or will speak for those still waiting, for itself.

A 3rd in game currency is daft, in my opinion. We've all been moaning about not having anything to spend our millions of hunter bucks on so what do they do, introduce platinum coins instead. The new bows can only be upgraded using these or gold, so the bucks are even more useless now. Luckily you don't win any in the new hunts!
  • Kyra420Kyra420 Registered Users 563 Posts
Totally agree. Absolutely nothing to do with hunter bucks and an introduction of yet another hard currency was not the best thing to do. It being meant to give people rewards for playing is nice but all along possibly useless (abandoned?) hunter bucks are still being earned some. Hopefully they have a plan to make these useful, at least as pocket change.
