Don't know what to do next! Please help

I have fully completed standard regions 1 to 9 but now I'm stuck. I don't have enough glu gold to buy any of the pistols for the outbreak events. I didn't receive any prizes for completing the pistol series in regions 7 and 9. I don't know what to do next, any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Are you referring to the zombie hunts on 7 and 9? If so you needed to get both pistols. "Headsman" pistol for region 7 and "headsman elite" for region 9. You will win a new pistol and assault rifle for region 10, after completing both zombie hunts.

Those weapons require glu gold and I don't have any. Is there any way to progress in the game without spending any real money to buy glu gold? I'm really stumped now. I spent all my gold periodically throughout the game on buying energy. I love this game but itlooks like I'mnot going to be able to advance

Region 10 arrives soon and with it new weapons sounds like headsman elite should do both 7 & 9 having read another thread after I bought both...

All I can say is that special events like the pistol series don't exclude you from progressing through the game. Gold makes it quicker by buying energy and gold weapons makes it easier by buying gold only weapons which are better than hunter bucks weapons. Gold gets you the extras, but doesn't stop you from progressing to new regular standard hunts.
