How to extend time of infared with batteries with Amazon Fire remote?

Can anyone tell me how to extend time of infared with batteries on Amazon Fire remote?

    Usually i only need to click on batteries, accept using the battery and click on infra red button. Then you can use infra red scope till the end of the one hunting event you are doing.
