Now that the Facebook platform has been abandoned, and is no longer being supported or developed, can I go to another PC based platform? If so, where, and will I be able to pick up where I left off, or will I just get a big FU like I got on the facebook side?

You could try BlueStacks which will run Android apps on PC in many cases.
