Over the course of the last five years, Racing Rivals has grown into one of the most hardcore racing games in the world. This loyal community has spent countless hours competing in millions of races in “winner take all” fashion – all in the name of Turf Wars and pink slips.

However, all good things must come to an end… After spending time evaluating Rivals and its future – we’ve decided that it’s time to move on. Simply put, the revenue generated from Racing Rivals unfortunately no longer covers the cost of operations. This was not an easy decision to make.

On March 31st, 2019 – Rivals will be racing off into the sunset, and will be permanently shut down. Current players have until this date to utilize any accumulated virtual currency. We’ll be offering some massive reductions in the cost of crates, installs and repairs in addition to a reduction on timers as you race your way into the history books. Effective immediately, no new in-app purchases will be permitted.

In closing, a resounding and sincere THANK YOU to our extremely driven fans for your loyalty and dedication over the years – we hope you’ve enjoyed playing Racing Rivals as much as we’ve enjoyed creating it.

okay lets all ask why we can handle business the way we have been? crxboi was the one that started this whole thing about not being able to use paypal or itunes as a method of payment, now that he is just a member how does that affect us? we have alot of legit members here who has done deals via paypal and itunes. now why are we not allowed to do so? if you were to take that away from us does that mean that you are now supporting the whole trading and selling process? so i were to pay someone 10mil in rrc for a car and i get scammed, will you refund me the money that was taken from me and banned the other player? paypal for example will actually refund me the money if i were to get scammed, and yes they will since i got a refund back from a scammer that took $225 from me. how does this affect your revenue as an owner? actually this may generate more money in your pocket. you got members who are just now learning the fundamental of the game who would like to buy a car and possibly do turf, which will cause them to buy gems. you got members who pay itunes for cars and the seller will then use that itunes to buy more gems.

so why would u take away the method of payment that us legit member has been using for a long time? when was the last time you've seen a scammer take advantage of someone here via paypal or itunes? last time someone got scammed was from xxhusstlexx and guess what 808champ got a refund back from him because paypal was going after him? so honestly if someone got scammed via paypal atleast they do something about it right away. how often do members here get scammed? i see more scams happen on facebook pages than here. so please give us back what we have been doing in the past.

Alright, so apparently I didn't know how widspread this issue is. The intent was to NOT help promote something that could be damaging towards someones real world bank account. But looks like people are grabbing the pitchforks so I'll concede. Don't delete posts. I'll just make sure that everyone knows that its all done at their own risk. If you get scammed for real money, its all on you.-[RR] Ryystron

Here is my point of view: You guys are saying if I get scammed using paypal I am on my own. So what is the difference? If I get scammed selling my car using RR money, I'm on my own also. Since RR offers no protection from scams nor does it condone trades, sales, or any other methods of transfers, I'm on my own no matter what. One problem is Old Women (and I have always thought you spelled that incorrectly), is the price of RR cash. If a new player wanted to buy and max our an R car, they would be looking at close to $2 mil. That's over $200 USD including taxes. That's crazy.... Because for $20 USD they could buy the exact car. Neither option is endorsed by RR, so if neither offer any buyer protection why would anyone ever go the more expensive route?

#4 Today, 12:38 We have done exhaustive research and analysis, as well as some theorycrafting, on what changing the price of RRC would do to our in-game economy and out bottom line. We have a lot of data to support our decision, but essentially our economists and business intelligence guys think it's wiser to keep things where we're at now.
