Over the course of the last five years, Racing Rivals has grown into one of the most hardcore racing games in the world. This loyal community has spent countless hours competing in millions of races in “winner take all” fashion – all in the name of Turf Wars and pink slips.

However, all good things must come to an end… After spending time evaluating Rivals and its future – we’ve decided that it’s time to move on. Simply put, the revenue generated from Racing Rivals unfortunately no longer covers the cost of operations. This was not an easy decision to make.

On March 31st, 2019 – Rivals will be racing off into the sunset, and will be permanently shut down. Current players have until this date to utilize any accumulated virtual currency. We’ll be offering some massive reductions in the cost of crates, installs and repairs in addition to a reduction on timers as you race your way into the history books. Effective immediately, no new in-app purchases will be permitted.

In closing, a resounding and sincere THANK YOU to our extremely driven fans for your loyalty and dedication over the years – we hope you’ve enjoyed playing Racing Rivals as much as we’ve enjoyed creating it.

The RR economy

I tried to sell an unwrapped turf falcon today and couldn't even get a bid for 2 mill. ? Yes I tried an auction ). Three weeks ago this car was easily 4 mil. I know the PayPal ban came into effect but what has changed so much that the regular dealers out here won't buy a car at half price. How did this game spiral into an economic deficit. I know the update has had a huge effect on this game but I still don't understand how everyone is broke now, cars can't sell at half price and mils cost nearly double. Any insight is greatly appreciated so I know how to go foward in conducting any type of business. Thank you

When I won my first unwrapped falcon they went for 4 mil and wrapped was 8 mil or more. This is my second falcon and I can barely give it away.

It's because there are many Falcons out in the game now due to the 2nd wave after Turf. It's somewhat difficult to drive (6.9 ET) so that doesn't help and it's not the most visually appealing car either with that spoiler..

It's because mils are going up in price (and fast!) Mils were never supposed to be that cheap; but they were due to hackers duplicating cash. They are now rising back to their intended price.

At one point people paid $40-70 per mil, buying it from a third party.
