DH 2014 Very slow after updates

I've been playing DH for about a month on my Galaxy Tab 10.1 without any real problems until the Christmas Holiday update. Since then the game has become so laggy most hunts are unplayable. I don't have issues with other games, and I have to reboot the tablet after exiting the game. I read a post on the IOS version which said it's a memory issue, but I don't think this is the case with the my problem. I do close all running apps before starting the game, and I even reset the tablet to factory including reinstalling the firmware. Neither of which seems to help.
