Assault rifle vs the geese,which I tried by accident,forgot to change to the shot gun.also I have found out that if you don't upgrade the red dot scope to the max,it is easier the track the game with the scope up.
I have used an assault rifle/semi auto for most contract hunts in most regions with shotgun backup. I don't have a favorite hunt but prefer long range hunting.
For me it's all about the animation of the shots, especially the slow motion final kill shot. It's a toss up between inferred heart shots and the holiday hunt series semi-auto shotguns for when you just want to indiscriminately blast your way through a herd.
My favorite guns to use are any of the 4 rifles I own with a 0.45 second fire rate as they are basically an assault rifle, but they actually fire quicker than one. When animals are taken at a distance you get a long last shot animation, love last shot animation. Backup with a shotty for charging animals, run up on me and get blasted.
