Checking for Updates never ends

I have been playing this game for 6 months. I was at region 9 till yesterday. Suddenly the game stops to open main screen, but checking for updates. It does not warn any connection error, just continuosly checking for updates.
Then I forced the game stop by using application options in Android. But not fix it. Then i cleared all data being unaware of loosing all my progress in the game. That fixed it, but i lost all my progress and start the game on region 1...
Now i m at region 2, but it is happening again:(..
Please, help me...

    I think this is a bug for the game. When I used spotflux, I realised that gluforum blocks some ip addresses. Also, I realised that after I used spotflux ( even if I closed it after usage ), I couldnt get in to main screen in the game...
    I need to use spotflux or other vpn applications because I m from Turkey, and as you know twitter is blocked here:(..

    If you have not tried shutting off and restarting your device give that a try; always worked for me in this situation. It could have something to do with the app also from what you say happens. If all else fails submit a ticket to glu for help. http://glumobile.custhelp.com/app/ask

    :) I cannot play the game, but it invites me to play by its advertisements...what a nonsense case.
    And still not have an answer to my ticket.

    Same issue here. The game has been stuck for over 10 days I opened a ticket on March 15, ticket number [Incident: 140315-000​208] I've been working with Glu support and they take days to send a generic answer to each email, I answer then days for the next answer.. Most emails are generic replies avoiding having to actually provide support. Answers such as... I was told I needed a better network connection. Then Glu labels the ticket solved and nothing has been solved.

    I replied that nothing was resolved, problem still existed, stuck at Checking for Updates. I was told to delete this folder.

    For Deer Hunter 2014 - delete:
    > /Android/data/com.glu.deerhunt2 AND /Android/data com.glu.deerhunt2

    Did that and this was the reply. Replied that this did not solve the problem. Of course it's marked as solved.

    My frustrations with this company makes me want to stay clear of any Glu products. I'm going to be deleting the game form my phone with all I have earned since I've been playing this game since it's release. Stay clear of this game because when true problems such as this arise they will not resolve the issue. I'm sure this post will not stay up long as it states facts and in our new world we just can't have that now can we?

    I feel the same way and have had the identical issues. I will continue to be patient because I love this game and have made so much progress. I can only hope the y fix it soon.

    Still not solved and not get an answer to my ticket...unbelievable...Completely this problem occurs because of spotflux or other similar vpn applications..I guess Dear hunter stores connection ip, and blocks some ip I dont know why. Once you use spotflux, DH blocks connection, and even you close spotflux DH still remains disconnect.
    I wonder why DH starts with Update Checking..

    Still stuck at checking for updates and no reply since my post here. This is terrible support. Is there an organization like BBB for bad companies like this on the web? People need to know to stay clear of companies like this.

    With the last update I can get back in the game. Don't know if I want to now.

    30 years in IT and this is by far the worst support I have ever seen.
