Club hunts?

Do I have to use the recommended weapons in the club hunts to get the reward?
Some of the shotgun hunts would produce more kills with an assault rifle, but I'm not sure if I can use one and still get the reward.

    You can use any weapon you want and get the reward. But to play the club hunt you will have to have the recommended weapon or a higher powered weapon to be able to play the club hunt. Just have that as your secondary weapon.
