Play the contract hunts. After each hunt, the rare hunt clock decreases by 8 hours. When it reaches zero, you get a rare hunt. Or, you can use a rare call to hunt immediately.
I am on an IPAD and mine dont show up anymore so it cant count down nor can I finish getting my map pieces.
I'm on an iPad as well and have completed everything so I don't think it's a platform issue. I just received a new game update that may fix your issue.
