Is it possible that you at using only one of the two contract hunts? If you use only one of the contract hunts you can inadvertently "block" a particular animal hunt. I've been on 16 a long time now, killing time until 17 rolls around, and I don't like the Saiga hunt, so I waited until it was the hunt for the right-most contract hunt and let it sit there, using only the left-most contract hunt. Voilà, no more Saiga hunts.
The Saiga hunt is probably one of the easiest in the region...using a rifle w/scope just wait for them to come over the far left ridge...head shot every time!
I haven't come across one scene in stage 16 for Lynxes??? Anyone seen any????
I don't know what these other guys are talking about, but I cant find any Lynx hunts here either. Must be a mistake. I'm wondering if they meant to kill lynxes in another level.

I tried all day yesterday to kill the lynx also but never got a single hunt for them.

Only 4 animal hunt, 5 if you wait out the shots....
But, I'm looking for numbers now that I've completed all of the bounty hunts, and all rare, and event hunts.

When do kill three....
And either restart the hunt,
Or start hunt over as a new hunt
Till bounty complete.
Won't get you leveled up as fast, but will get bounty
