why in world does deer hunter 2014 not work

so i tried getting on today and for the last week i have been experiencing for the last week issues updating i haven't played in about half a year i come back and it is stuck on updating screen I've had it open for about an hour and its still updating no progress at all my internet is all bars my browser is firefox and im running windows 7

    You should play on Android or Apple, most people playing on Facebook have faced many problems.

    I am having the same problem since Oct 2016 it is now Jan 2017 tried to get info from GLU but no reply's as of yet.
