Over the course of the last five years, Racing Rivals has grown into one of the most hardcore racing games in the world. This loyal community has spent countless hours competing in millions of races in “winner take all” fashion – all in the name of Turf Wars and pink slips.

However, all good things must come to an end… After spending time evaluating Rivals and its future – we’ve decided that it’s time to move on. Simply put, the revenue generated from Racing Rivals unfortunately no longer covers the cost of operations. This was not an easy decision to make.

On March 31st, 2019 – Rivals will be racing off into the sunset, and will be permanently shut down. Current players have until this date to utilize any accumulated virtual currency. We’ll be offering some massive reductions in the cost of crates, installs and repairs in addition to a reduction on timers as you race your way into the history books. Effective immediately, no new in-app purchases will be permitted.

In closing, a resounding and sincere THANK YOU to our extremely driven fans for your loyalty and dedication over the years – we hope you’ve enjoyed playing Racing Rivals as much as we’ve enjoyed creating it.

I'm not asking because I want to know how, but it seemingly happened twice tonight to me. I have video and a screenshot of my car that was taken away. The guy I raced was on my friends list, but I can't find it anymore, like he deleted me. On my side I accepted the pink challenge and then it just timed out. I waited for a couple minutes and reset the game and then my car was just gone. A little bit later I raced a guy. The race started, I won, I saw his car cross the finish line but then the server thing took a long time and it then showed the other guy DNF. He then messages me and said it froze on his side. What the hell is going on? How could it freeze on his side when I saw him race?

    Poor connection? That happen toe once when I was giving my brother some cars. We accept the pink, but I never saw the track. When I went to restart my phone, my car was gone. My connection is pretty bad.

    According to CIE .. DNF is not a hacking or anything like that .. It's been part of the game functionality since day one .. It appears when the server didn't get the result of UR race .. Usually u have to check UR connection before U start playing Racing Rivals .. Now am sure U have strong connectivity .. But good luck convincing CIE with that ..

    Even though you saw him cross the finish line, his phone more than likely did freeze.. I tried this before on two devices, and on one device I left the car and did not launch. On the other device it shows the car that did not launch, actually racing and leaving the line. That's proof right there that what you see your opponents do, is only a simulation by the game, and what it thinks that individual will run, based on Launch, RT, and shift patterns. Even though the car that was not launched, was shown racing down the strip it will eventually get a DNF

    ^ makes sense. But it is also possible that the guy did race and just lose, right? Theres no way for me to know what happened on his end. The problem now is that I went right to spending money and retuning the car as soon as I got it. 15-20min later he messages me saying he froze up and wanted me to give the car back. I do feel bad if that's really what happened, but I'm sure we have all lost card due to game glitches. I don't go crying about it. It sucks and I move on.

    It's not your fault you shouldn't have to compensate his car back. He got the DNF due to a lost connection from his device freezing up

    I have lost 3 cars to this glitch I won 2 of the races the third race never even happened but I lost the car anyways I didn't go crying about wanting my car back it sucks yeah but it happens and I won't race for pinks anymore lessened learned on my part so I dont think you owe him anything

    I've already decided Im not giving him anything, or even a chance. He came back and was asking me for the car back and then said he would race me for pinks again. I just told him, on my end, the race happened, we both finished and I won. He could have seen that he was losing and force quit the game... how do I know he's not BS'ing me? What was funny, is that while trying to get me to give the car back, he says, if it WAS him racing, theres no way I would have won.

    First time ever someone was asking for a favor by trash talking. He needs to work on his people skills.
