shotgun contract issue

i am currently having some issues with the shotgun contracts; going to hunt (one energy flash deducted, say i have 7, minus 1 >> down to 6) and then before hunt starts get a pop-up 'error occurred' and game restarts. after restart energy is back to what it was before (7). trying to hunt again but problem remains. also tried deleting cache without any effect.
is anybody else having this?
any possible work-around / fix?

that it would be safe to uninstall and reinstall the game. should i try this?

i had noticed that when energy went up to 8 it would work for one hunt but not for the next one (as described above from 7 down to 6). did a reboot of the device - samsung galaxy s5, android - and restarted the game... energy suddenly down to zero but now when i get 1 again it works. seems something is/was screwed up with the energy count...?
anyway, seems ok now again.
in a nutshell: if you encounter this problem ('error occurred' when trying to do contracts) reboot your device, might help. this is for android, ios i don't know.
Yesterday was actually not too bad for it.
This morning has been particularly bad-- happening every three or four hunts in the R4 rifle series. I end up having to repeat one or two hunts in the rifle series each time it happens.
I have not found a fix. Rebooting the device works for a bit, but so does leaving it for a few minutes and just restarting the game. Not sure I am comfortable uninstalling then reinstalling without hearing some first hand experience that it works without loss of progress.

1. Launch DH16
2. Tap the screen when you see Tap to Play
3. In the upper left part of the screen click the Gear
4. In the upper right click About
5. Copy down your Player ID (Highlighted in the image below) and reply with it here.
