connect to Facebook feature

Any idea why the feature of connect to Facebook was added in last update or its usefulness. I have a dormant facebook account and I don't see what is special about ****ecting to facebook. Could someone enlighten my dim technological mind?

    I think it has something to do with playing across multiple devices.

    So the iPhone users can transfer the games from phone to phone. Seeing as a new one comes out each year. Remember Sheppeck, he couldn't transfer the game when you upgraded. He can now...little to late. I played dino hunter the other day, that game had potential too bad it got the axe. Someone at this company is severely lost.
