Earning gems

I'm used to the Cooking Dash, Restaurant Dash model where you can farm about 8 gold per day by watching videos.  What are the ways to earn gems in this game?  Looks like you can buy one or two for 10 coins every 8 hours or so, occasionally get one through a video special offer, occasionally get one from a daily task - what else?  Someone mentioned a Gems Galore boost, when does that show up?

    that is it, every 8 hours check and buy the gold to gems offers. One slot will be super cheap (10 gold or so) the second is more expensive but still worth it IMO (around 2k).  u get like 8-9 gems per day with the super cheap offer (instead of watching videos like in Cooking dash which is the same 8 videos per day)

    oh forgot to add, yeah the reward for completing all daily quests (to do list) can SOMETIMES be gems galore (it can also be free play or dash something), for 15 minutes all customers have a chance of giving you a gem.  Basically, remember to NOT turn in your last daily quest if you are low on food/resources to play when u have this as the reward as to maximize how much you get from it.

    I finally received a Gems Galore boost the other day for the first time :)
