Upgrade issues

On Diner Dash Adventures for Samsung, app downloaded from Google Play, having issues on levels 9-10, won't level up to 10, also won't allow me to upgrade anything for Trout of the World. When I attempt to upgrade, it immediately tells me that there are connection issues, asks to retry which does nothing or restart which also is no help, but does restart the app. All areas of the game upgrade just fine.
