Game of Thorns to do list

My Game Of Thorns to do list always wants me to unlock the most expensive version of each item to progress. If I unlock a cheaper version of the same item, will it still mark as completed and progress, or does it have to be that exact one? 
For example, the last GOT event wanted me to save 90 cookies to unlock the Egyptian pyramid, but I could unlock cheaper versions of that castle that didn’t follow the Egyptian theme when I clicked on it.

    Unlocking the cheaper version will not progress the to-do list. I have made this mistake before :)
