However, all good things must come to an end… After spending time evaluating Rivals and its future – we’ve decided that it’s time to move on. Simply put, the revenue generated from Racing Rivals unfortunately no longer covers the cost of operations. This was not an easy decision to make.
On March 31st, 2019 – Rivals will be racing off into the sunset, and will be permanently shut down. Current players have until this date to utilize any accumulated virtual currency. We’ll be offering some massive reductions in the cost of crates, installs and repairs in addition to a reduction on timers as you race your way into the history books. Effective immediately, no new in-app purchases will be permitted.
In closing, a resounding and sincere THANK YOU to our extremely driven fans for your loyalty and dedication over the years – we hope you’ve enjoyed playing Racing Rivals as much as we’ve enjoyed creating it.

Fix the lag
The lag now is terrible, if i click friends tab game freezes for over 30 secs, when im in multiplayer it says connection too slow even though im on 100mb wifi, every time i come away for the game for over a minute the game freezes and i have to force close and restart. I know im not the only person encountering this and it puts people off playing, please do not reply saying you will look into it. There's countless threads and you have done nothing. When are you going to fix this the most basic of issues? People are more likely to purchase items if they can on the game for more than 5 minutes without having to force close and restart

"My wifi signal is strong", "I have full bars so it must be your servers!" ... etc.
What you have to understand is that signal strength, is one piece of the puzzle. You can have a strong signal but still experience lag in some form because your network (not necessarily your home network) may have bandwith issues or any other number if issues. These issues can also happen at any point between your device and our servers.
On our end we do what we can to make sure our servers up running optimally. For the most part they are. For every person that says "OMG Lag! Fix it!" there are hundreds to thousands that are like "Seems fine bro."
Having worked at another game company with huge amounts of money and hundreds of servers all over the country, "OMG fix Lag!" was and probably is still one of the number one customer complaints. Believe me when I say we wish there was a button that could "fix lag". It's just not that simple, and a lot of the time, isn't on our end.
To use a person example of this. This past weekend I was at a convention. My phone had a super strong signal, but I couldn't get anything out or load anything. I was also at a hotel, where I was on wifi and was on LTE and full bars, but for the life of me, could not do anything. Was it my phone? No. Was it Facebook or Yelp or Instagram? Nope. The hotel's wifi just wasn't able to handle the bandwidth of all it's users.
What am I getting at here? We make sure our servers are running. You make sure your own home network is running well. If we run into issues on our end we will work on it, we have people on that all the time, but sometimes issues can be out of our hands and your hands.
That being said, here are a few things you can do on your end:
First you may want to try force closing the app.
For iOS 7
1. Exit the application to the home screen
2. Double click the "home" (the circular button) button
3. Swipe left or right to find the Racing Rivals App
4. Swipe the App upwards
5. Press the "home" button
6. Relaunch the Racing Rivals application
For iOS 6 and older
1. Exit the application to the home screen
2. Double click the "home" (the circular button) button
3. Tap and hold on the Racing Rivals application on the bottom of the screen until a red "-" circle appears on the icon
4. Tap on the red "-" circle - The Racing Rivals Application should disappear from the bottom of the screen
5. Press the "home" button
6. Relaunch the Racing Rivals application
Then try the following:
1. Reduce the number of Applications running on your iDevice
2. Try and play from a spot where your signal is strongest
3. Reduce location movement (i.e. Walking around, playing while in a moving vehicle)
4. Make sure the antenna on your device is unobstructed
5. Make sure you are using the latest version of the App (Updates can be made through the app store)
6. Try closing the Racing Rivals app down completely and then restart launch it
7. Make sure your iOS is up to date (Settings > General > Software Update)
8. Make sure your date, time and time zone are correct on your device (Settings > General > Date&Time)
9. Check your device restrictions (Settings > General > Restrictions)
10. Check and verify that you're in range of a Wi-Fi router or base station. If you're on a device with cellular service, make sure that cellular data is turned on
11. Try resetting (turn off and on) your wireless router
