I would say I probably tried 3x for around 45 or less tries (and got the mystery armpiece from that). This made me run out of gems.
2 days later i grinded boss rush 2 and 1 for the 80 gems. I rolled x1 and after 5 tries I surprisingly had the axe. Since then I've rolled a LOT of singles (i'm back to only 80 gems again, and have yet to hit anything). So beginners luck I guess. Still just have 2 mystery pieces.

If you are an ios user ICloud before you spin than if dont get anything you like re load it, saves a lot of gems
