How exsactly outside of being completely over geared/leveled are you suppose to accomplish beating this guy?
You do not have the run speed to outrun attacks unless you are already running as he attacks and you don't have the mana reserves to constantly bust out you attacks. What your left to do is pee shoot at him while tactically using you freeze dodge to stay behind him and IF you do manage to stay alive long enough to get him burned down the fight would have listed you 20 minutes
His boss is relatively easy to roll over as an ungraded warrior as long as you parry and make smart choices of when to run around him.
WHY is it made so difficult on mage?
Anyone who has actually accomplished this feel free to give tips because I'm at a total stop unless I can actually do it. I refuse to keep grinding the SAME levels over and over in some huge waste of time waiting for a levels to go up anymore

Try this method. Blast Netherborn with the laser the second the game starts. He should lose at least 30% of his health. If not you are in deep trouble. Then use eruption to further weaken him while he is stunned and tap repeatedly on your wand attack to boost up your energy (hope you have bought that passive skill). Use either the eruption or electrical orb to attack and boost energy. If you are about to be attacked or he has come too near teleport backwards by tapping on the freeze button. This is achieved by not touching the direction button, only the freeze button. Immediately tap repeatedly on the wand attack button to regain energy, or use potion energy. Try not to run around or move too much or you get killed easily. Just get your timing right. The key to the Mage's strength is the skills you can buy with coins when you reach certain levels and boy do you need coins. Yes millions!
Yep, confirmation of this advice being spot on. If your gear is weak, it doesn't matter. You do need a pretty decent wand though. That's the only real gear you need as a Mage, the rest can be accomplished in well timed teleports. Start off the match with a laser beam like Lau said, don't teleport until the boss looks like he's charging/tackling/throwing his shoulders at you. Always teleport FORWARD to end up behind the boss, immediately after teleporting start tapping the pea shooter to regain your rage.
Never use the beam again, only use the blast to interrupt attacks and only use teleports when blast is too expensive, immediately after blast/teleport..use the pea shooter to regain rage. The fight may last 4 minutes or 15 minutes, but that will depend on which wand you have. For the mage, the actual armor makes no difference if you are a skilled player.

I did it the first try after taking the advice to not move unless needed. My damage was a little low since I only did about 10% on my first laser attack, but I managed it with a revive potion.
My mistake was moving this whole time. He is actually easier than nian to beat when done properly...who knew :rolleyes:
