I know GLU hasn't added multiplayer for EW3 yet, but once (if?) they do, this is a suggestion to totally utilize and enhance the multiplayer experience! Its what I like to call "Eternity Quests".
It's when multiple players play together and strive towards a common goal: defeating a boss.
To start off, GLU should make new bosses for this game. It can be anything from huge Pirates to Spiders to Dragons! It has gotten a little boring fighting the same thing over and over again. But they should use these new bosses for Eternity Quests! They had the right idea with the Jade Forest, where the bosses had different attack patterns, thus making it a little bit harder, but yet again it is boring to fight the same boss over and over again.
There should be minimum level requirements. For example, for the easiest Eternity Quest, you have to have a minimum level of 5 and a maximum level of 20. And for the next hardest Eternity Quest, a minimum level of 21 and a max level of 35, and so on and so on. (Or they could do it by minimum GS and maximum GS, whatever makes it more balanced/easier, because I have seen level 40+ players with very low GS).
As for the actual game play, there could possibly be new maps for these quests, all leading up to a final boss that the players have to defeat. As an example, I will use Cyclops as the final boss. The group of players should fight waves or levels of monsters and sub-bosses (like Catkin Queen or Wolfman or something) before reaching a final gate, thus leading to the final boss, Cyclops, where the players have to work together and use strategy to defeat the boss! However, because not every single player has access to revive potions, each player should have 2-3 lives. If a player loses every single life, then they lose and get kicked out/disconnected from the Eternity Quest, therefore losing any possible rewards from winning it.
As for the reward for beating the Eternity Quest, there could be a treasure chest that will show up in the inventory, that contains anything from gold to reagents to gear (although no common or uncommon gear/reagents, because that would be totally lame)
There could also be new quests for these Eternity Quests as well! Using Cyclops as another example, a quest could be that if you defeat Cyclops three times, then you get a certain amount of EXP and gold, as well as some offerings too.
Another idea for these Eternity Quests are PvP Eternity Quests! Maybe a group of 10 players with similar levels/GS could all be in a free-for-all map, and the last player standing gets a huge prize!
There are honestly countless possibilities for this idea, and I think they should add this, because it would make it much more worthwhile playing and infinitely more fun.
Sincerely,
