fire lotus questions

Hi guys, just a few questions...

I can hit lvl 35 most times now, but does anyone have an opinion on:

1 - does iif help? I know it doesn't in normal endless, but I'm hoping people have seen a difference in fire lotus as my drop rate is abysmal
2 - is there a level beyond which drills drop more often? Again, this might be tied to iif as my drop rate is....

Fun level vs frustration level is now in serious negative equity right now...

I thjnk Drills are random (rare) and I don't think iif helps. I've found a couple on the early stages of Fire Lotus with under 200 iif but I haven't found any in mid stages (20s).
