Currently, the source for fiend's eye is too limited. Barrels, chest and normal mobs don't drop it, only the mini-bosses (of some higher maps) do, but the main boss is too tough to complete the stage. On the other hand, the main bosses of lower level maps only drop fiend's sigil and heart.
Another source for fiend's eye is to ask the iron god, but possible award from this is based on the character's level so if mine is too high I'll get demon's eye instead. Without field's eye, even legendary weapon cannot be evolved so all progression is halted.
There should be some ways to upgrade lower tier reagents to higher tier reagents.
