Battery and Wi-Fi Connection Problem

Hi,
I downloaded the game a few minutes ago. But I've some problems with game. When I start this game with W-Fi connection, it shows an error about connection.
It's said: "Failed to network connect."
My Wi-Fi connection is open but the game is open only 3G connection. I have to close Wi-Fi connection to open the game. Why we're doing this? Wi-Fi is not better than 3G?
Secondly, the game is too fast spend my battery. When I open the game first 10 minutes, my phone is closed because the low battery.
Please support me about this issues.
By the way, the game is awesome without this problems.

tab 10.1 and my galaxy S3 both have wifi problems though that it often cant connect to wifi. This is unrelated to the game though.
