Both have advantages and disadvantages there no clear better character there all balanced.
Pretty much just pick the one you like the most and play with them.
Monk is fast, and his skills are deadly if you use him correctly (3 orbs + skill).
Warrior has 2 super attacks, but they don't do as much damage when compared to monk. His parry is the best defense in the game and you can parry everything if you time right. He has the highest survivability, and he can do a lot of damage when low on health.
Most players uses warrior as their starting character and move on to mage, which is the best character in the game according to many.
Warrior skill are kinda shitty, It's not very safe to use since you cant cancel it to block/parry.
But his parry is a give from god. you can be invincible, if you master this thing.
Monk skill damage is very deadly, his skill's dps is the best out of 3. Do damage fast and run away even faster. However, His dodge is very very shitty. it take alot of sp and didnt deal damage or freeze enemy. When he facing enemy that attack none stop, he himself cant make his own opportunity to attack. It ether take damage to deal damage, or keep dodge till you out of sp. If you don't has powerful weapon to take down the enemy before you out of sp, then you are dead :P

Higher level monks dodge is free with some energy reduction.
He's a hit and run, guess your talking about bearman that doesn't have a opening during his last 50% hp, thats just a run get a hit in dodge and run, dodge works with his speed nothing can keep up with him.

I just start playing Monk yesterday.
My Monk kill cyclops when he's lv9 with 200gs, And kill Nian in his first try with 680gs.
However, I can't kill the damn Bearman with out the use of sp potion. If i can get 4 hit, i could get my sp back and keep on dodging. but I can only land 1or2 hit on him when his hp is lower than 50% .
I guess try to kill him with just a green weapon from cyclops with dodge skill lv2 is just too much for the monk. It never be a problem with warrior and mage, I kill him easily with those two. But monk can't do anything, if his weapon is not deal enough dmg.
If his weapon isn't good, if his dodge skill or energy reduction isn't high, if enemy has no opening, he is very much useless. He will be good only with good gear and high lv, but without those, he the weakest out of 3.
Bearman does have an opening. He just hits a lot and you need to be patient. Monk is about patient, warrior is about timing.
You must mean Bearman in Fog road, that one is just a joke. I can beat him while half asleep.
I talking about Bearman in Temple of Vaj'Ra. When his hp is lower than 50%, he will swing his mace 2 time then jump, and then keep going forever. It has no real opening. because if you attack him after he jump, you'll have to use dodge to avoid his next attack. You will get 1 hit or 2, then dodge, then out of sp. It will only work, if your atttack is high enough to stun him with skill attack. But if your attack is so low that he dont feel a thing, and you dodge skill still at low lv and take alot of sp, then you are very dead. No matter how much patient or skill or knowledge of his attack you have, if your gear and lv is not ready, It still mean nothing.
i like them both as they both require different playstyle. Monk take patient to play w/o on par gear since they dont last more than 1-2 hit and dodge well they not that helpful at low lvl due to long cooldown. At high lvl with 2 sec timer and bunch of ER they are free to use.
War on the other hand is somewhat easier and faster to play once you master parry, the passive skill: increase att. and def mean dont need to focus on farming as much. i made it to legendary in 2 days on war with only 6 hp pot use in Ancient cavern legendary(taken on 2 bosses same time with low damage is a pain). currently farming Cyclop legendary with just 1535 GS using a maxed lvl 15 purple weapon with green and blue not even upgrade. i avg 6-8 mins. For monk i did it with 2k gs in 8mins avg.
As for Bearman in Temple of Vaj'Ra. he does has opening just really short. i suggest leaving the some mob alive and use them to get critical orb. you aint going to beat him in early lvl just by spamming all the skill. 3 hit combo then fist is the fastest damage for monk barely use mana. Use Rage for emergency or when stun.

Do you think me of all people, would think that would win me a fight?
I beat cyclops with 7 dmg per hit both mank and mage. I know all enemy move and attack pattern from when I play my warrior a long time ago. but with all the knowledge, it still no help.
Back then, it don't matter if i had the 3 orb ready, the damage still not make him stop or stun. If you think you can land 3 hit combo, then you still taking about wrong Bearman. He not the same as Bearman in Fog road or Endless tower. He not gonna roar after finish his attack, he will keep attacking forever. no roar no stop no opening.
I did kill him easily now, with higher Lv and better weapon.
So, Monk is all about patient. Not just patient when you fight, patient to farm and get this hero ready too. you cant just keep going with out farming, because he is so weak at low lv.

The bottom line is... Monk's dodge suck :P
