Claiming tiered rewards on a lower character

During the last tourney I got to 32,500VP, enough to earn the lvl 44 ancestral helm with my warrior. My question is, will it still be a lvl 44 if I collect it with my lvl 26 mage? During the tourney, when I checked the tiered rewards with my mage it also showed the lvl 44 helm.

Btw, I don't need it for my warrior since I already have 2 godly helms of resolve for warrior (yes I know I could use a different rune in each, but I feel it would help my mage out quicker).

    Yes, as far as I know the prize is a Lv. 44 Helm so you can claim it on any character and still be a lv. 44 Helm.

    But what you win with tokens collected as a tournament prize depends on the level of the hero spending the token.

    Thank you, that's what I was thinking, but wanted to make sure. Didn't want the reward to go to waste.
