WinterTaleWinterTale Registered Users 107 Posts
Can a monk please explain me where is the fun in running around a circle like a hamster for 2,3 mins ?
Also whats the fun in playing a class so weak that if you get hit couple times while running around like a hamster, you die?
Thanks for the answers I'm so curious.

lol there's no fun in hamster running. And for me, it's more fun to play a challenging class than an overpowered one. This is also why I don't want to put money into the game and make things easy.

I enjoy playing the quick attack and movement classes, and since monk is the only one, picking it was my best option. I know/knew his defense would be like paper and i'm just a little disappointed that the passive critical skill doesn't raise both critical damage and chance.

Wow I didnt expect a serious reasonable answer man :)
I appreciate monks who try to fight vs me also if they have a huge disadvantage (except if they have t9 gold weap and all gold runes so they are tricky) but man I hate these noobs who runs for 3 minutes and they land a single kick for 1 dmg point and then they go run again...very annoying!

Only 1 word can answer your question about MONK players, and that word is PUSSSY is all I can think of. They hit you 1 time to cause damage and run for 2-3 min, but if you have good enough aim and mange to kill them. They will post the screen shoot of you winning and accuse you for hacking. bottom line, play for fun and not run like a BlTCH once come to pvp. Btw I'm on iOS and had encountered couple monk player with t9 gold weapons and still run like a BlTCH. For example: Pinkpretty,Mandime, Cj111 etc,,,,,,,

I would also run with T9 weapon, it is more weight = more burn! Do it for yourself! Do it for exercise!

I've seen some clips from youtube from IOS side... The changing color when invulnerable is pretty weird and looks like it stays on longer than it should for after the monk rolls, but its probably like that for warrior parry also.

if anyone notice, speed is a monk's passive skill. monks can never win to any class up front.

I play all my characters evenly, but currently I've been more focused on my monk because I'm stuck in a bad place with my warrior and don't feel like grinding for reagents. Anyway, currently I'm on an 18/0 win streak in PvP. No running, straight up strategy and timing. I'm always in front always putting out hits and I don't back up. Other guys playing the monk don't see the potential, it's more than running fast. It's making quick moves, dashing to avoid being hit, turning it into a quick daze then fists. The monk truly is a great character when played correctly. I don't see where everyone else finds joy in ruining people's experiences and running for 2-3 minutes as you said.

I don´t really know what level you guys are and speaking about but if any class is op in arena it´s the monk and everyone who is on top 100 knows it.

Maybe on IOS, but that doesn't seem to be the case on the android side. So that being the case, I guessed the OP was talking about the runners for android. If monks are so overpowered, there wouldn't be running to complain about right?

Also, my first post was in reference to the whole game, not specifically arena.

I kindof got that your reply was referring to the game in general for monks, (I didn't really get why you would reply with that thou since the thread started was clearly talking about the monks in arena), but seeing others started to continue on your reply and going the direction as if a monk is somehow underpowered in arena I decided to reply.
If there is something different in android side then my reply isn't meat for you. I kindof hate if there is big differences between ios and Android since using the same forum it often creates some non representative opinions and confusions from one side to the other.

To answer your question about why people would complain monks run around even if they are op. There are two types of monk players. One type is the noobs who suck so badly that they use the hit and run tactic cause if they didn't do that they would most likely die because they lack the skills to do anything else. This type is mostly monks not in the top 100.
The second type is the decent players who have realized how to play the monks correctly and use the op skills and dodging to practically not ever taking damage, while stun and 1-hit kill their opponents. They are mostly in the top 100. (still some runners up there as well thou)

    Top 100 is:
    60% Monks
    35% Warriors
    5% Mages

The top in arena is mostly monks. But the bad part about being a runner monk is yes you get wins. But you get very little ap. Some of the top monks end up with under 2k ap. And that's hitting rank 0. Finishing rank 2 4 I average close to 3k. Sure its great for you. Bit not so great for helping your guild.
