Remove any ability to forfeit PvP

Runners are one thing, but the kids that forfeit because their opponent takes an early lead REALLY píss many people off. The ability to forfeit needs to be removed.

Either remove the "Return to Town" button or

Make the forfeiting player receive NOTHING. Remove two stars and grant NO AP. Credit the winner with three kills worth of AP and grant one star as normal.

As for the people who force quit the app. As suggested above, give the quitter NO AP, take two stars, and give the winning player credit for three kills and a single star.

To support this.. Imagine you spend gems entering the arena, only to have what would have been ~50 AP taken from you by some unskilled player just straight up quitting after you get the first hit, leaving you with no kills and a measly 16 AP. It really gets on the nerves of many.

We should not be penalized because our opponent decides to quit.

    In my case i only forfeit the match if my opponent is a monk, who only hit me a couple of times and then run for more than minute. Its fúcking(sorry) boring and irritating to run after an olympic champion. So no dont remove it, i dont want t use my time running useless.
    Sometimes the server automaticaly return me back to town even though i am winning.

    Against runners I just stand still in the middle of the arena, actually won a couple of fights because they got greedy :p


    Regarding the original idea, agreed. Some war this morning quit because he missed a dash and I dropped an orb.. That was the extent of the "fight"

    Arena should also become progressively smaller every 30 seconds to prevent running and force players to fight each other.

    When the arena becomes smaller, it could damage any player currently within the area of the arena that is being removed. Players would be forced to the center and forced to actually fight, or take damage from the outter edges of the arena.

    This, along with no ability to forfeit, would be ideal.

    Ummm, I actually hate this idea with a passion. I love quitting against laggers and runners. I love making the opponent think that I'm going down and then I quit to leave them with very little AP and very little satisfaction.

    Don't worry, I only do this to laggers and runners.

    If you remove the option to leave I would have to give cheaters/runners/laggers a lot of AP for beeing d!cks, and that won't do.

    Well Idk about the other idea, but yes I agree that the arena must be made smaller in area, or mebbe just like the spirit brigde, long yet good, or they should make more dungeons for arena, people who like to run will choose this round and large one, and peeps like me who like to fight head on will choose smaller arena and will face each other and will be satisfied will the match.
    At least that's what I think

    Leaving is the least of problems in this game.

    Hit detection, cheaters, runners, and glitches are all the problems that need to be prioritized. I wish they would give a handful of top players to insta ban hackers. As long as no d bag decides to abuse this, the moderation from glu themselves would be minimum.

    I would think runners get a lot of satisfaction from their opponents quitting, they're after the win and 1 star. If they were after AP then they would fight.

    Monks need to receive full damage when they attack you with their spinning dash attack. It's fine if the attack keeps going, but my mage hits should actually damage you as you run in a stupid circle to ping me once.

    If the arena gets smaller, then mage will rule the arena. All you have to do is put up an orb and there's nowhere to hide from the orb.
    I agree on not granting AP to the quitter.

    I'd hate to revive an old thread but this is something that bothers me somewhat. Our guild (Goodfellas) fought against FairandHonor this past season 7/27/2014.
    I wholeheartedly believe for PVP at least, the option to go back to town should be removed. Why am I asking for this?
    Well when players are rank 0 they have a higher chance of meeting someone who is in the same rank. With that in mind, A player from FairandHonor was behind in individual rankings so instead of fighting and winning his stars. He and his guild mates went to a server where little people were on and decided to match up against each other. When they matched up the guild mate who is suppose to lose automatically leaves the match giving the main guy a star win in very little time. Doing this allowed the main dude to get 2 wins within less than 30 seconds. We tried countering this by having our guys go to every single server hunting for this guy (name starts with letter P and ends in 8) to slow him down or whatever we could. We know they have lots of gems to spend and that they could never ever beat us in a non gem spending fight but that's another story.

    Taking the option away of leaving match won't completely solve the problem cause they can still fight each other and the loser will just lose on purpose but at least it will take some time to do that or

    Take the option of matching opponents away if they are from the same guild (but add sparring option amongst guild members). This will force different guilds to fight each other.

    Anyhow - Great job to my fellow guildies for the real hard work put in. We don't need sponsors to win. Have a good day.

    Yeah remove option of fighting guildies.. solves everything.. we wont let them win hell spend 10000 gems we dont care..
    And for sponsoring it is kinda retarded. .. dont call urself the best guild in the world of u r sponsored for gems
    .and losing after being sppnsored... pffttt.. tht sucks

    Agreed, not allowing inter-guild pvp during tournaments would be the best fix to that problem.

    Rewarding more AP to the winner of a "quit" match to make up for possible kills seems to be a good idea to me. The quitter already gets pretty much no ap if they haven't killed you so that's not a problem.

    I agree with everything said so far except the one leaving losing multiple stars. Not everyone leaving a match is always intentional. Disconnects do happen. This would punish someone even more for something out of their control. No guild v guild would be interesting. See who is actually good and who is just being fed wins.

    I quit against known runners and will continue to do so. It's not worth my time for the little bit of AP because you can rarely even get a kill in on them. I still like the idea of requiring at least 1 kill or everybody loses.

    Well let the return to town button remain but if a player forfeit any match then automatically the opponent must win all three fights and not only get 8 or 12 Ap's furthermore the player who leaves must get a big 0 , this way the players will think twice before leaving any match in progress.
    at the moment the game is too nice and still awards everyone in the arena but this is not right at all, stay and finish your fight then you get points, I am sure if a penalty of 0 points is implemented on those leaving the fights, everyone will stay till the fight is over...
    making the arena smaller is a real bad idea, imagine a hacker using Mage with multiple orbs????? The small arena will shine like hell.....lol.....
    On the other hand monk abilities must be limited like warrior and Mage, he should get frozen too for a while to be fair....

    My issue with this is the hackers getting all these points by cheating. It's the only time I leave only to not award those greedy as ses the points. But the system still freezes a lot and kicks people out a lot. Gives you that stupid accessing network message. I have run into those that run around or that leave the battle but nothing irritates me more than hacks.

    Maybe they should put in a boss in the arena as a ref. If they start hacking then the boss beats them down and awards you the points and victory. It can also hold someone trying to leave the game so you can beat them down lol

    I'm in favor of this now... my 15k monk keeps getting 500 GS opponents, and they quit and I lose AP :P

    Shut up fido , u f*cking p*ssy runner ... U can defend ur fellow runners now , i dont even care what you are about to say ... u can stay on the sidelines and keep running with ur mage , u p*ssy. oh , and by the way , ur not even worth my time in the arena , if u keep running away from me again , i'll quit the match instantly , u can have your lousy star , the arena is not about the rank , it's about AP , so we can have our free gems, but i guess that's not the way it goes on your end , so just keep running forrest.
